Sample Progressive Web Apps and How to Install Them

PWA Demos Written in Delphi

If you are already using Delphi, then you can use TMS Web Core to generate PWAs (Progressive Web Apps). These are presented here so you can test what resources are available and what they can do.

To install them as apps

• Chrome on Windows :
  1. Click on the ⋮ menu
  2. Select Cast, save and share
  3. Click on Install page as app
• Brave on Windows :
  1. Click on the ≡ menu
  2. Select Save and share
  3. Click on Install (app name)
• Chrome on Android :
  1. Click on the ⋮ menu
  2. Select Add to Home Screen
  3. Select Install
• Brave on Android :
  1. Click on the ⋮ menu
  2. Select Install and create shortcut
• Safari on iPhone :
  1. Select Middle icon on bottom
  2. Select Add to Home Screen

In Chrome and Brave on Windows you can also click the install icon at the right of the address bar.

Here is a list of the sample (demo) PWAs or Progressive Web Apps.

• Storage Tester : Demo of localstorage. Shows saving, loading, deleting, clearing and persistence.
• UTC Converter : Convert MySQL datetimes between UTC and local time, with the Unix epoch and the MySQL CONVERT_TZ expression.
• Delphi Version Lookup : Look up Delphi versions, defines and point releases, and copy the matching conditional directive.
